About Barrie

Barrie Broughton primarily practises business law, estate planning and tax matters. Born in Lethbridge and raised in Calgary, he earned both his undergraduate and law degrees from the University of Alberta before joining North & Company in 1983. He has been a member of the Law Society of Alberta since 1979 and has served on the Surrogate Rules Advisory Committee and with the Canadian Association of Farm Advisors and the Canadian Tax Foundation. Now focused on mentoring the next generation of lawyers at the firm, he works from North & Company's Chancery Court office in downtown Lethbridge.
