About Alaa

Alaa Abu-Hijleh is the principal lawyer at Amplus Law. She earned her Honours B.A. in Political Science from the University of Toronto, her LL.B. from the University of Birmingham, and her LL.M. from Osgoode Hall Law School, where her thesis examined mandatory military enlistment under refugee law. She was called to the Bar of Ontario in June 2020 and has appeared before all divisions of the Immigration and Refugee Board and the Federal Court of Canada.
