About CBM Lawyers LLP

CBM Lawyers LLP is a full-service firm based in Langley, British Columbia, with additional offices in Aldergrove and Maple Ridge. John Campbell and Tony McEwen founded it in 1977 as a general litigation practice, and the firm marked 50 years in the Fraser Valley in 2026. It has since grown to 17 lawyers and 31 staff, working in business and corporate law, family law and litigation, real estate law, wills, estates and trusts, estate litigation, employment law, and personal injury claims covering motor vehicle, non-motor vehicle, spinal cord, and brain injury cases.

The Langley office has moved a few times over the decades, from the McCrimmon House to space above a local credit union, before settling into its current building in the Murrayville area, where it has been for more than 20 years. Some of the firm's current partners built their careers there from the start rather than joining from elsewhere: Byron McCarthy articled with CBM and is now a partner at the firm, and Jon Goheen is a partner who joined CBM after relocating from a downtown Vancouver practice. John Campbell, one of the founders, remains with the firm as retired senior associate counsel.
