About Cook and View Law

Cook and View Law is run by Taya M. Arnold, a lawyer licensed by the Law Society of British Columbia who also belongs to the BC Branch of the Canadian Bar Association and the Victoria Bar Association. Arnold grew up on the Prairies, earned a Bachelor of Arts from the University of Regina, then completed a Juris Doctor at the Schulich School of Law at Dalhousie University before settling in Victoria to practice law.

The firm's office is in the Cook Street Medical Building at 1175 Cook Street, where Arnold handles residential real estate purchases and sales, mortgage and co-ownership matters, wills and estate planning, and incapacity planning documents such as powers of attorney, representation agreements, and nominations of committee. Cook and View Law also provides notarization services, including statutory declarations, certified copies, and travel authorization letters. The office keeps regular weekday hours, with evening appointments available by request, and home or hospital visits can be arranged for will signings when needed.
