About Alasaly Law Group

Alasaly Law Group is a family law and wills and estates firm founded by lawyer Sarah Alasaly, who was called to the Bar of Ontario in 2017 and to the Bar of British Columbia in April 2018. Before earning a law degree from the University of Ottawa, Alasaly spent close to five years as a registered nurse in BC hospitals, working in labour and delivery and in acute medicine, and kept nursing part time through law school before articling at a national firm.

The firm now works out of a shared office space on Wale Road in Victoria's Westshore area, though its client base reaches across the whole province, with most matters moving forward through video conferencing rather than in person visits. Its practice centers on separation, divorce, custody, and support matters, handled where possible through negotiation, mediation, or med arb rather than a courtroom, alongside wills, powers of attorney, representation agreements, and estate administration. Sarah Alasaly is an accredited family law mediator through the Law Society of BC and is working toward collaborative family law accreditation, and the firm also offers notary services, including statutory declarations, affidavits, notarizations, travel consent letters, and certified true copies.
