About LooneyTooney

One of the highest-rated law firms in Toronto, going by its Google reviews.

LooneyTooney is a Toronto based immigration consulting firm. Most of the team holds Registered Canadian Immigration Consultant (RCIC) credentials from the College of Immigration and Citizenship Consultants, and the firm also has one immigration lawyer registered with the Law Society of Ontario who works on refugee and asylum matters, including hearings before the Immigration and Refugee Board. Founder Ashish Bhatia, an entrepreneur with more than 15 years of business and technology experience across India, Europe and Canada, launched the firm to make Canadian immigration applications more affordable and less stressful for clients.

The team is based mainly out of Toronto, with a Calgary office available for clients on that side of the country, and reaches clients across Canada and abroad mostly through video consultations. Its practice covers permanent residence pathways, spousal and family sponsorship, work and study permits, visitor visas, refugee and asylum claims, humanitarian and compassionate applications, pre removal risk assessments, and citizenship by descent claims for people born outside Canada to a Canadian parent or grandparent. Between them, the consultants speak English along with Mandarin, Hindi, Punjabi, Spanish, Tagalog, Farsi and Dari.

The neighbourhood

LooneyTooney's Toronto office is on Yorkville Avenue in Bloor-Yorkville, a district that began as a separate village annexed by the city in 1883 and later grew into one of Toronto's well known upscale shopping and gallery strips. Since almost all client meetings happen by video, the firm's day to day work doesn't depend on foot traffic there. In-person meetings are available at either the Toronto or the Calgary office, but only by advance booking, and the firm does not take walk-ins.

The Calgary office, on 5th Avenue SW, gives the firm a downtown presence for clients who prefer to meet in person on that side of the country rather than travel to Toronto.
