About Cvetkovic Law

Cvetkovic Law is a solo family law practice in Toronto's Financial District, run by lawyer Vlasta Cvetkovic. Cvetkovic has practiced family law exclusively since being called to the Ontario bar in 2002, articling and then starting out at one of Canada's largest law firms, working alongside two senior family law practitioners there before opening the current solo practice in 2005.

Cvetkovic is a graduate of Osgoode Hall Law School and holds an undergraduate degree from the University of Toronto, and has served as a Member-at-Large of the Family Law Executive of the Ontario Bar Association. The practice covers separation and divorce, custody and access, child and spousal support, division of property, and cohabitation agreements and marriage contracts, and has appeared in all levels of court in Ontario, representing clients across the province and not only in Toronto. Cvetkovic is fluent in Croatian and has a working knowledge of Spanish and Italian.

The neighbourhood

The office sits in the Lumsden Building at 6 Adelaide Street East, on the northeast corner of Yonge and Adelaide in Toronto's Financial District. Built in 1909 and 1910 by architect John A. Mackenzie and financed by the Lumsden Estate of Ottawa, it was said at the time to be the largest concrete faced structure in the world, an unusual choice in an era when steel frame office buildings were normally finished in brick or terracotta. The building still stands today as one of the older commercial structures on that stretch of downtown Toronto, its ornate original cornice long since removed but its distinctive concrete exterior intact.
